The OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R were released in January, and the company hasn’t announced any new flagship phones since. It has only confirmed that there won’t be a OnePlus Open sequel this year. However, a new phone is in the pipeline, set to join the OnePlus 13 series on April 24.
After posting several teasers, OnePlus has officially announced the release date for its next product, the OnePlus 13T. OnePlus China head Louis Jie took to Weibo to confirm the launch date of their upcoming smartphone. The OnePlus 13T is set to debut in China on April 24 at 2:30 PM local time. It will come in Morning Mist Gray, Cloud Ink Black, and Pink color options.
The OnePlus 13T features a refreshing new camera module design that resembles the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and is said to house two 50MP cameras. According to Jie, OnePlus has “defined the direction of minimalism, refinement, and flatness” with the phone’s 6.32-inch screen, which will likely be an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
OnePlus 13T rumored specs
The OnePlus 13T sports a one-piece metal design with “rounded R corners” and a narrow frame. From the teasers, it appears to have a matte finish on the back, similar to recent affordable phones from Apple and Google. Both the iPhone 16e and Pixel 9a feature a soft-touch matte finish. But unlike those phones, the OnePlus 13T isn’t expected to compromise on optics. It is rumored to feature a 50MP primary camera and a 50MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom capabilities.
The new OnePlus phone will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, placing it between the OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 13 in the lineup. It’s also expected to pack a massive 6,200mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. There’s no word yet on wireless charging.
