Amazfit has slashed the price of its smart ring, the Helio Ring, in Europe and the US, undercutting rivals such as the Samsung Galaxy Ring and Oura Ring. It is also making two premium services free for owners of the smart ring.
Amazfit announced the Helio Ring, its first smart ring at CES 2024 in January before releasing it in the US in May and in Europe in June. Priced at $299 in the US and €299 in Europe, Amazfit has now announced a huge discount in both regions along with freebies for those who already own the smart ring.
Those in the US will be able to buy the Helio Ring for $199.99. That’s $100 off its launch price and $200 less than Samsung’s Galaxy Ring (available on Amazon for $399). Those who wish to pick up the Helio Ring at the discounted price can choose to buy it from Amazfit’s own store or from Amazon. If you purchase it alongside a smartwatch like the Amazfit Balance, you can even save up to an additional $50.
In Europe, the price cut is even larger as the Helio Ring can be purchased for €169.90 directly from Amazfit and on Amazon.de, a whopping €130 off its original price. If you choose to buy it directly from Amazfit, you can save an extra €20 if you purchase it alongside an Amazfit smartwatch such as the new Amazfit T-Rex 3.
Amazfit has not said if this is a permanent price cut, so it’s advisable to hurry if you plan to buy the smart ring.
Those who already own the Helio Ring are not left out as Amazfit has announced that the Zepp Aura and Zepp Fitness services are now free for all owners of the smart ring. The former helps users fall asleep by generating sounds to help them fall asleep and costs $70 per year. Zepp Fitness, on the other hand, provides users with access to more advanced weekly and monthly training analytics and an AI chatbot that helps them achieve their fitness goals. A 6-month subscription costs $19.99.
The Amazfit Helio Ring is made of titanium alloy, weighing just 4 grams. It has an EDA (electrodermal activity) sensor for tracking physical signs of stress as well as sensors for tracking heart rate and SpO2 level. It can also track sleep. Amazfit has designed it to work best with its smartwatches, as its job is to track recovery while the smartwatch tracks physical activities.
