In another experiment, the team asked the AI to make a satirical presentation about its own security flaws. Gemini delivered a full slide deck titled “Excused Stupid Gemini 3”, showing that it could not only bypass restrictions but also engage creatively with them.
Escalating the Risks
The researchers didn’t stop there. Using Gemini’s coding tools, they created a website containing instructions for making sarin gas and homemade explosives—content that should have been off-limits. Each time, Gemini ignored its safety rules, demonstrating a concerning ability to evade controls.
