The iPhone 7 and 7s came out just under two months ago, so you know what that means: It’s time to start speculating on next year’s iteration.
According to a source who spoke with the Nikkei Asian Review, the upcoming iPhone 8 will sport glass covers and backs, similar to the iPhone 4, with both sides held in place by a metal frame. The metal frame, MacRumors speculates, will be either stainless steel or aluminum. China’s Biel Crystal Manufactory and Lens Technology supposedly beat out Foxconn for supplying the glass.
Nikkei’s source further states that the iPhone 8 will come in three sizes: 5.5-inch, 5-inch, and 4.7-inch. However, it’s unclear if a glass back will be a “premium” feature only available on the larger models
