In collaboration with Qualcomm, KiWear has announced a reference design for its cutting-edge smart ring technology, which enables seamless hand-centric interactions with AI and smart glasses.
The reference design was announced at the opening keynote presentation at AWE USA 2025. The collaboration aims to help OEMs develop interactive interfaces for AI smart glasses. Industry analysts anticipate 60% year-over-year growth in 2025 and a sustained compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 60% through 2029.

KiWear addresses fundamental input challenges that have limited the widespread adoption of smart and AI glasses. Founded in April 2025, KiWear provides comprehensive hand-centric interaction technology for multi-degree-of-freedom (DoF) controllers, smart rings, and wearables.
Hand-centric interaction technology from KiWear offers diverse input methods, utilising algorithms and data-driven precision for natural hand interactions. It supports gestures, controllers, and wearables, such as AI glasses, rings, watches, and bands, and is adaptable to various scenarios, including XR and automotive IoT.
