Mark Zuckerberg announces the date that will end mobile phones and is clear about their replacement: “It will be like with computers”
The mobile phone appeared in our lives just under three decades ago. A real revolution. But now there are signs of change… Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been the one to make it clear what is coming. And he did so with a telling phrase. “It will be like computers,” he said.
In fact, he has put a substitute. He talks about a product that will “gradually” replace smartphones after smartwatches failed in their attempt. They were not implemented as such and have remained as a useful accessory.
But Zuckerberg has talked about the element that will change the technological landscape. It is smart glasses. “They will become the next big computing platform,” says Mark.
According to him, this is what will happen with glasses: “There will come a point where your smartphone will be in your pocket more than out of it, I think that will happen during the 2030s and although you may be able to perform the task in a more complete or better way with your phone, users will opt for the convenience of glasses to do so.”
Apple, with its Vison Pro, and Meta are the most prominent companies when it comes to smart glasses, but many other technology companies are already on the way.
