Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Reportedly Set for February 25 Launch: What to Expect

Samsung’s next flagship moment may be coming later than usual. Fresh reports out of South Korea—now reinforced by renowned leaker Evan Blass—suggest that the Galaxy S26 series will debut on February 25 at a dedicated Unpacked event in San Francisco, with retail availability expected in early March.

If confirmed, this would mark a noticeable shift in Samsung’s flagship launch strategy—and hint at bigger changes under the hood.

Galaxy S26 Launch Date: A Month Later Than Last Year

The Galaxy S26 launch would land about a month later than the Galaxy S25, which debuted on January 22, 2025. According to industry speculation, the delay may be tied to a last-minute shakeup in Samsung’s lineup—specifically, the reported cancellation of the Galaxy S26 Edge in favor of a more traditional Galaxy S26+.

That move could signal Samsung doubling down on clearer product tiers after experimenting with slimmer or more niche designs in recent years.

Expected Models: Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra

Leaks and dummy unit sightings suggest Samsung will stick to its familiar trio:

  • Galaxy S26 – the standard flagship
  • Galaxy S26+ – replacing the rumored S26 Edge
  • Galaxy S26 Ultra – the premium powerhouse

While full specs haven’t been revealed yet, expectations are high for meaningful upgrades in camera processing, AI-powered features, and performance—especially as Samsung continues to integrate on-device AI more deeply into One UI.
