Samsung’s upcoming smartwatches – the Galaxy Watch 7 series, which is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have several AI-powered health-tracking features.
One of the biggest upgrades Samsung is bringing to the Galaxy Watch is ‘Energy Score’, a new feature that helps you get a “better understanding of your daily condition through a combined analysis of personal health metrics”. The feature uses sleep, heart and activity data.

The South Korean tech giant is also adding ‘Wellness Tips’, another AI feature which helps you complete your personal health goals by “offering insights, motivational tips and guidance based on the specific goal you are looking to achieve.”
Samsung also announced that the update will improve its sleep tracking algorithms to offer new in-depth insights like movement during sleep, heart rate, respiratory rate during sleep and sleep latency. On the fitness front, the Galaxy Watch will get new Personalised Heath Rate Zone and Functional Threshold Power metrics for cyclists which can help you train yourself like a professional.

Another feature called Workout Routine will help you combine different exercises to offer a personalised workout experience. Samsung says these features will be available on the upcoming Galaxy Watch series via One UI 6 Watch, however, a limited number of Galaxy Watch owners will be able to try them sometime in June as part of the beta program.
A few days ago, leaked renders of the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra suggested that the upcoming WearOS-powered smartwatch will have a squarish bezel and an extra third button. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 series at the rumoured Galaxy Unpacked series on July 10 in Paris.
