WhatsApp Introduces Drafts for Your Messages at Last!

WhatsApp now enables you to save your unsent messages with a new draft feature, a small update that could make your life much easier.

The “Draft” label is clearly displayed if you don’t send your message.

No More Lost Unfinished Messages

WhatsApp has recently introduced a much-needed feature: message drafts. Now, if you start typing a message but get interrupted, don’t worry! The app automatically saves what you’ve typed. A green “Draft” label appears in your chat list, showing a preview of your text. Moreover, the conversation moves to the top of your message list. There’s no longer an excuse for “forgetting” to reply (unless it’s on purpose).

Indeed, other apps like Google Messages already offered this feature, but better late than never. With drafts, you can pick up right where you left off, without needing to retype everything. Simply click on the relevant conversation, and the pending message will reappear in the text field, ready to be finished and sent. It’s straightforward and effective.

A New Feature Among Other Enhancements

Drafts are just one of the updates in a series that WhatsApp has rolled out recently. For instance, customized lists now allow you to organize your chats with tags like WorkFamily, or FriendsThis is handy for keeping your professional projects separate from personal chats.

And that’s not all: WhatsApp is also working on a significant new feature that could allow the use of nicknames instead of phone numbers. No more need to give out your number freely! This idea could appeal to many, and I’m eagerly awaiting it. Although, if I’m honest, I’m even more excited about the potential WhatsApp version for iPad. Hopefully, it will arrive by 2043 if all goes well (grumble).

Two billion monthly users will be able to utilize this new function

With over two billion active users each month, WhatsApp shows that it’s not content to rest on its laurels. It’s likely these constant improvements that keep the app so popular.
