ZTE Axon 40 series teaser poster reveals new key features of flagship smartphones

ZTE is gearing up to launch its next-generation Axon series flagship smartphones in the form of Axon 40, Axon 40 Pro, and Axon 40 Ultra. The devices are set to officially launch in the Chinese market next week, on 9th May.

Ahead of the official announcement, the company has started teasing some key features of the phone through posters. In the latest teaser poster shared today, the company sheds light on the security chip and the camera sensor.

The company has confirmed that the Axon 40 series smartphones will come equipped with an independent security chip for hardware-level protection. Such chips usually act as a gateway for encryption and authentication features.

Further, in the camera department, the Axon 40 Pro will feature a 100-megapixel camera setup. It was previously revealed that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will have a triple-camera setup with a 64MP Sony IMX787 primary sensor, a 64MP ultra-wide OmniVision OV64GB sensor, and a 64MP OmniVision OV64GB telephoto lens.

Earlier, it was confirmed that the Axon 40 series will come with next-generation stereo speakers that could provide an out-of-this-world audio experience. The devices also have support for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound and dtsX Ultrasound technology.

If the reports are to be believed, then the smartphones will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. It will also come with an under-display camera setup and an almost bezel-less display panel. Since the launch is still a few days away, we expect the company to confirm these details through teaser posters in the coming days.
